PQA 9th Annual Meeting & Best Practices Forum Highlights
May 28-30, 2014
Healthcare executives from health plans, PBMs, community pharmacy, pharmaceutical research and technology companies, consumer advocacy, government agencies - including CMS and the FDA, healthcare associations, and academia, came together to hear from healthcare experts on the state of the industry and shared thoughts and ideas on improving medication use and safety. The Pharmacy Quality Alliance, in collaboration with the Program Evaluation Research Unit (PERU) at the University of Pittsburgh, introduces the white paper: "Perspectives: Applying Value-Based Financial Incentive Models within Community Pharmacy Practice."

PQA Workgroup, Panel, and Task Force Update: June 2014
PQA Workgroups, Panels, and Task Forces meet by teleconference each month to meet their specific objectives. Participants contribute their expertise and ideas to the discussion and work towards consensus-based agreement on workgroup deliverables. A summary of the activities and discussion is provided bimonthly in the Workgroup, Panel, and Task Force Update.
PQA Announces 2014-2015 Executive Fellow
Dr. Maria Scarlatos to Join Staff
The Pharmacy Quality Alliance welcomes Maria Scarlatos as the newest member of the PQA staff. Dr. Scarlatos will serve as the 2014-2015 Fellow starting on July 1, 2014. Maria will be coming to PQA as a new Doctor of Pharmacy graduate from Northeastern University.
