PQA is excited to announce the release of the EPIQ program, a resource developed by PQA that is used to train practicing pharmacists, professional stakeholders, and pharmacy students in measuring, improving, and reporting quality of care in pharmacy practice.

PQA Will Test Draft Metrics
Testing plans have been developed for five draft performance measures and one quality improvement indicator (QII). These draft metrics were sent to PQA member organizations with a request for initial comment July 8-31.
PQA Adult Immunization Task Force
In June, PQA launched a new quality measurement initiative, aimed at narrowing gaps in measurement and reporting for adult immunizations. The PQA Adult Immunization Task Force will convene regularly over the next 12- to 18-month period. An update of the task force's activities is provided.

Collaborating for Better Patient Care: Integrating Medication Use Measures into Value-Based Systems
Board members, executives from member companies and PQA staff will meet to share insights on the changing quality landscape and models of care, balancing the needs of patients, plans, pharmacies, PBMs and providers in developing and implementing meaningful medication measures, exploring P4P models, as well as to exchange ideas on collaborating to improve patient care.
PQA 2014-2015 Ambassador's Program Launch - August 19, 2014
PQA will be launching this year's PQA Ambassador Program concurrent with the PQA Academic Affairs Committee initial call on August 19th at 1pm EDT. PQA Ambassadors serve as "quality champions" at each school of pharmacy, acting as a resource for student pharmacists and faculty interested in quality improvement, performance measurement, and the transformation of the US healthcare system to a value based system.
