NQF Patient Safety Steering Committee Reviews PQA Opioid Measures

Joint AMCP/PQA/PHIT SNOMED Cross-Walk Development Meeting

The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA), and Pharmacy Health Information Technology (PHIT) Collaborative convened a multi-stakeholder group on July 12-13, 2016 in National Harbor, MD to develop a consensus-based standardized framework for cross-walking medication therapy management (MTM) services to SNOMED CT (Systematized Nomenclaure of Medicine - Clinical Terms) codes.

PQA Seeks Measure Testers

An important part of PQA’s measure development process is to test draft measures using the measure specifications to calculate the rates and to complete additional sensitivity analyses. This step not only is important to determine the feasibility and validity of the measures, but also presents an exciting opportunity for member organizations to partner with PQA and to have early insights into their own performance on the measures.

PQA Measure Development Update: August 2016

The Measure Development Teams (MDTs) and Task Forces have been meeting monthly via webinar, and the Stakeholder Advisory Panels (SAPs) have been meeting every other month since March. Additionally, the Risk Adjustment Advisory Panel, Implementation Advisory Panel, Measure Update Panel and Quality Metrics Expert Panel have been meeting regularly to continue their work.
