PQA Membership Endorses Two New Performance Measures

The membership of the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) endorsed two new performance measures in December. The new measures are: Concurrent Use of Opioids and Benzodiazepines (COB) and Adherence to Non-Infused Disease Modifying Agents Used to Treat Multiple Sclerosis (PDC-MS).

PQA Reconvenes the Research Coordinating Committee
|
|
As we enter 2017, PQA will be expanding its research portfolio; tying medication adherence to outcomes and adding new focus areas, including but not limited to adverse events associated with anticoagulation, prevention of opioid misuse, and transitions of care. To evaluate emerging research topics and to enhance and promote its research portfolio, PQA is reconvening its Research Coordinating Committee (RCC).

PQA Measure Development Update: December 2016
|
|
The Measure Development Teams (MDTs) and Task Forces have been meeting monthly via webinar, and the Stakeholder Advisory Panels (SAPs) have been meeting every other month since March. Additionally, the Risk Adjustment Advisory Panel, Implementation Advisory Panel, Measure Update Panel and Quality Metrics Expert Panel have been meeting regularly to continue their work.
